Candidate: Ernest John Coyle
Personal: Married to Carlota - with three children.
Background: On leaving school worked for the Victorian Railways. Moved to Sydney - again working for the railways. In 1990 John formed a group called Citizens For Public Transport (CFPT). A range of initiatives of CFPT have been introduced including the Brisbane to Longreach train, the "Spirit of the Outback". The Queensland Rail/McCafferty's coach lines, tourist travel pass was first suggested by John.
Interests: John and Carlota attend the Heritage Community Church in Ipswich.
Prior to joining Pauline Hanson's One Nation John was a long time supporter of the Liberal/National Party. He was the National Party candidate for the seat of Ipswich in 1992. John has joined One Nation because he believes Pauline Hanson best expressed his views on a number of issues.
He handed out "How to vote cards" for Pauline at the 1996 elections.
