Some traps that adversely effect commercial webs

  • Large images and content which "eats up" bandwidth.
  • Dead web sites.
    That novice surfer, the Rev Cedric Mannington once said:
    "I found one (Internet) channel in the USA but it appears they were having transmission problems. The same picture just sat there for hours. You'd think they could put out a message "Do not adjust your set. We apologize but we are having a technical problem."

    But no, nothing like that at all. I just had another look at it, and it's still not fixed."

    Many commercial web sites do not live, they exist... no changes, nothing exciting to draw people back... just a sticky web that the spider left long, long ago.
