Triple J Radio has been following the example given by the popular "Tony Martin and Mick Malloy" radio show in editing and cutting and pasting voice clips from Hanson's interviews.
But this time the radio program went to extremes through songs in which her voice had been edited suggesting that Pauline Hanson supports paedophilia and homosexuality.
David Oldfield, Hanson's Principal Adviser said yesterday that Pauline Hanson was considering bringing a defamation action against the station and the song's creator. He also said that they should both face some sort of criminal action because of the misuse of her voice.
The song was first played on Triple J last Tuesday with lyrics in her voice including, "I'm homosexual. I'm very proud of it. I'm very proud that I'm not straight. I'm very proud that I'm not natural. You know I'm not human."
Another line suggests that children should "come across" to homosexuality.
Oldfield said that he was particularly offended by that line as it suggested that Ms Hanson supported paedophilia.
"Even the inference that Ms Hanson supports children being used for sexual activities is disgusting.
"Pauline's voice is her trademark and people know she says what she thinks, so I think this song could do her a lot of damage. This is the biggest sex scandal of the last decade," Oldfield said.
The song's creator, Simon, said he was not worried about receiving a defamation action against him for writing the song.
He said that most people who heard it would take it in the humorous vein in which it was meant.
Yes, but at whose expense Simon, at whose expense?
