That night the coverage was on Pauline Hanson's One Nation birthday party on the Channel 9 News was centered around the dunking machine with the news reader reporting "Pauline Hanson gets in over her head" as the footage shows her being dunked...
That afternoon I wandered around the main tent taking a few photos of One Nation supporters who were gathering for the big evening ahead. Peter James, left below, was by now a barman of note!
As
dusk approached it was time to "buy" a tree to plant in Pauline's garden.
About 30 trees in all were purchased at a cost of Au$10 each...
I planted mine in the middle of the new dam wall just below Pauline's house.
