When you take a look behind the curtain put up by the mainstream media we have shown time and time again how blatantly biased and unethical their reporting is.

It is laughable, it is undemocratic and the Packer and Murdoch empires should stand condemned in history for the leading role that they are playing in undermining the democratic right of all Australians to know the facts - not the distortions.

Yesterday we covered the comments by Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC) commissioner Zita Antonios who slammed Hanson for a 90% increase in race complaints during the last twelve months. What has come to light since the reports by the media from Pauline Hanson herself is that a total of just 397 complaints of racial discrimination have been made to HREOC in the last twelve months.... or an additional 189 claims of racial discrimination. Let us remember that over 600 Australians HAVE DIED from heroin related abuses yet this curse of our society plays second fiddle to the media's obsession with denigrating Pauline Hanson's One Nation.

These HREOC figures, like heroin deaths are not just for Brisbane, not just for Queensland, no in the whole of Australia..... a population of nearly 20,000,000.

So here we have a government bureaucracy which gets about one complaint a day nationwide and blows nearly Au$20,000,000 justifying its very existence. That equates to over Au$50,000 for every complaint. That is about Au$1 in taxes each year from every man, woman and child in this country.

There are a number of letter (below) responding to this subject.

Today that "newspaper" known as The Sunday Mail carries a front page headline "BAD MEDICINE" in which the depth of the racism spectre has now become a media driven beef-up is revealed. It is relevant because an Aboriginal mother (one of the 397 complainants referred to above) has taken a Brisbane doctor to HREOC for comments which she considers to be "patronising, condescending and deeply offensive". It is relevant because there is no way Pauline Hanson can be blamed for this claim.

The Aboriginal mother, Lisa Moffatt, was told by the doctor that a bump on her baby's head would not be damaging because Aborigines had "thicker skulls". Now note he did not say that Aborigines were "thicker" or more "stupid". He said that their skulls were thicker through evolution because of the tradition weapons that they used. Dr Anne Kemp at the University of Queensland has confirmed that Aborigines do have slightly thicker skulls than Caucasians but not because of the weapons they used.

Dr Whittaker the man at the centre of the uproar treated Ms Moffatt's daughter in a family clinic in November 1995... yes, that's right nearly two years ago - either HREOC do not treat the claim by Mrs Moffatt as important or, more likely, the claim has only been made since the media inspired racism debate over Hanson has arisen.

Dr Whittaker does not deny making the remarks but said that he had made them to reassure the mother that her daughter would not have any permanent damage from the bump.

Ms Moffatt has also claimed the doctor said that she was not full-blood Aboriginal by saying, "You cannot say that because you are genetically half-white or at least have white in you," (the paper does not explain what Mrs Moffatt said to draw that comment from the doctor)... but does say that following that comment Mrs Moffatt asked if it was possible that one of her family was "raped by a whiteman." She says that he responded with "Yes, that is a possibility, but we are not all a big bunch of baddies."

It is interesting that Dr Whittaker denies that he ever raised these comments regarding her Aboriginality.

From what I can see you have a hard working doctor who, in documents tendered to HREOC, says that he has done volunteer work for Aborigines in north Queensland finding himself in the public eye and before the commission just because he tried to reassure an Aboriginal mother about the health of her daughter.

His thanks? A denigrating front page article with a picture of a smiling Mrs Moffatt and daughter in full colour and another of a deeply concerned Dr Whittaker who refused to make any comments to The Sunday Mail. Now that's going to do lots for his reputation and business... but this joke of a paper doesn't care... you see it sells papers, increases circulation which makes the editor look good as it increases advertising revenue which goes into the pocket of an Amercian media tycoon - one Rupert Murdoch at the expense of just another disposable Aussie.

Here is a web page worth following... the Microsoft danger.

Comment from aus.politics:

New national tax advisory Centre opens in Alice Springs for Aboriginal and Islander communities

A new national tax advisory Aboriginal and Islander Resource Centre was opened in Alice Springs today by Taxation Commissioner, Michael Carmody.

"From anywhere in Australia, Aboriginal and Islander people can now call 13 1030 for the cost of a local call, and have their taxation enquires answered by tax officers at the Centre who are culturally aware," Mr Carmody said.

The Centre is based in the Alice Springs Tax Office and will provide a direct link between the ATO and Aboriginal and Islander people throughout Australia. The initiative is part of the ATO's ongoing effort to improve access to its services.

Today's launch of the Centre was attended by Aboriginal and Islander community representatives, and other invited guests, including local and national media.

"We recognise the importance of tailoring our services to meet the needs and demands of people in the community. We are committed to providing help and support to them in an accessible and appropriate way," Mr Carmody said.

Well I phoned 13 1030 at 5.30pm on Saturday afternoon (yesterday) and was told in a pre-recorded message,
"At present all our officers are busy, as soon as one is available we will answer your call, thanks you."

Not a bad service reserved for the indigenous people of Australia!

Give them a call now and see what response you get!

Subject: Unequal rights commissioner

Re the Courier-Mail article "Race hate complaints soar".

The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity commissioner, Zita Antonios, seems to be pushing the tired old extremist line that only white people are racist. As Pauline Hanson rightly pointed out, "they're only there to look after people from non-English speaking backgrounds or the Aboriginal race".

Recently a report from London revealed that the race relations industry over there always do their research on the basis that only white people are racist. However, one recent racism survey tried a less biased line of questioning than usual and the results showed that Asian Britons were the most racist and the white Britons were the least racist.

The message in this report from London was that the race relations industry and it's partiality towards multi-culturalism over British culture are clearly harmful to the community because they emphasise divisions.

In Australia the most extreme prejudice seems to be coming from those like the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity commissioner etc with their attacks against Australia being one nation ( instead of a divided one ) and equality for all Australians.

Thanks,
Peter.

Subject: What has Changed?

Dear Sir,

Just a few points that warrant comment.

Last night's (Saturday) news report on channel 9 made mention of about a dozen protesters at a gathering at which Pauline Hanson appeared. If this figure was correct then I ask what has happened to all the angry mums and dads that were out there protesting about the evil One nation. I am optimistic that they have actually listened to what has been said and their non-attendance at protests is actually a vote of support for One Nation. The film report that I witnessed showed a handful of socialist worker rent-a-crowdies chanting that "lefty top of the pops" number.."say it loud, say it clear " etc.. etc..

Pauline Hanson was reported as saying that the Human Rights Commission should be abolished as it is a waste of tax payers money. Hear, Hear! Twenty five million dollars a year being spent to tell ordinary Australians that the human rights that they used to have no longer apply to ordinary Australians. Who is getting all this money? Certainly not those in need. Now comes the big one. Why, after such a long media blackout of Pauline Hanson and her One Nation supporters being shown in any good light, should she get a few positive mentions on the visual media in the last week? Is there something happening that they know about that we don't? Why the sudden change of heart? If One Nation was only valued at 2-4% of the vote, depending on which poll you viewed, then why would anyone be bothered providing coverage?

I was just wondering......

Personal trivia, from the global office:

Another gorgeous day in paradise.

Today I will be in Gympie joining a large group of One Nation branch executive in discussions about preparations for the next Queensland State elections.

Have a great day.
