Korea Zinc Australia are to build a Au$1 billion zinc refinery near the city of Townsville. State Premier Wayne Goss made this announcement with obvious
relief as the northern Queensland town just happens to be in the seat of Mundingburra - the seat which labor are going to find very difficult to hold on to
in February's by-election.
