The highly concocted and totally baseless allegations following two themes:
First,
With the accidental release of the FEMM document on the failings of prominent South Pacific leaders the television channels picked up on a story run in the Sydney Morning Herald in which a survey had been run on leading Asian businessmen "who had heard of Pauline Hanson" (ie a tiny fraction). The report claimed that 16% of these businesses said that her views "could" effect their doing business with Australia.
Some claimed that Hanson has a "higher profile" than Prime Minister John Howard... which is the sort of loony reporting that gets parroted over the prime time news by experienced reporters reading from a script with very dubious origins.
Now what was it that the bureau chief of Asahi television said?
Second,
The disgraceful and slanted (but true to form) report by Channel 9's A Current Affair (Kerry Packer) which covered "Who are the protesters?" - at One Nation meetings. An obvious response to last week's credible One Nation press releases which never saw the light of day on this television channel.
The casually dressed interviewer spoke to three people at the Geelong launch. Two of them were obvious plants and not representative of the goons that anyone who has been to a launch has to confront.
The outrage should be aimed at the obvious politically motivated role of Packer and Murdoch in protecting their status quo in Canberra.
Embattled Federal Labor Minister Carmen Lawrence yesterday pleaded "Not Guilty" to three charges of giving false evidence at the Marks Royal Commission.
Her lawyer Robert Mazza said, "She elects to dispense with a preliminary hearing (and) pleads Not Guilty on each of every charge.
Lawrence will appear in court in October when a trial date will be set - probably for late next year. (Isn't the legal system wonderful?)
He also played down the idea being considered by John Howard, following his visit last week to Newcastle, for free trade zones.
"We don't want to pump things up for one month and then have a hangover three months later," he said on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's 7.30 Report.
"What we want to make sure is that when we get the economy moving, we get it moving in a way which is long-term sustainable.
"Those building blocks which are going into place now are going to be building blocks which can sustain very good economic development.
"We're not going to sit down and say, after these enormous strides to get the Budget back into place... after the interest rate cuts that we've seen, after the improvements in home lending... as these things start to come together, delivering real benefits to real Australian families, don't expect us to be diverted off into quick fixes."

Shock! Horror! Reds come out from under the bed!
"Australian News", the right-wing Internet newspaper, published by
the group that does Pauline Hanson's Web Site, have unearthed the
group that will bring down the established social order in Australia -
LeftLink, a web site of the political left.
`It's true' said Peter Ewer, a Director of the New International
Bookshop Co- operative, the non-profit organisation that moderates
LeftLink. `Pauline's lot have saved mainstream Australia from the
Bolshevik revolution we've been planning'.
`You see' he went on `we thought we'd start the overthrow of
capitalism by starting up a bookshop, which of course is one of the
great lessons we've learnt from Mao Tse Tung. Only we've improved
on revolutionary theory by adding a coffee shop, so the average
leftie can also get a decent cafe latte while they're working on the
Molotov Cocktails. And it's worked out OK too - we're in
Melbourne's historic Trades Hall Council building, Victoria Street,
Carlton.'
Peter went on to confirm Pauline's worst fears.
`Only trouble is we lost $700 on the first seven month's trading, so
we've had to put the insurgency back a month or two. Of course,
that's given One Nation an opening, and haven't they pounced on it!'
_Australian News_ proves the revolutionary threat of LeftLink in no
uncertain terms. Just look at some of the links from the LeftLink web
page - the Communist Party of Australia, Sinn Fein, the Korean
Confederation of Trades Union, Mumia Abu-Jamal (another Black
Panther!).
`We're grateful of course, that One Nation has gone so easy on us'
said Peter. `Advocates of free speech like Pauline could have exposed
the really sinister links on LeftLink - like those to the Brotherhood of
St Laurence, the Australian Democrats and the Sydney Morning
Herald'.
Peter went on to give the defenders of mainstream values some free
advice on how to analyse the revolutionary moment.
`Yep' he explained `we figure if we can bring the Fairfax Press into a
a people's front, power will be ours. But no worries Kerry, give us a
bit of coverage, and we're open to offers.'
`And come the glorious day' he concluded in the dark voice of the
subversive, `all fish and chip owners, up against a wall, pop-pop-pop.
Peking Duck's the national dish of the revolution, and don't you
forget it.'
To whom it may concern,
I think that Ms Hanson is the most ignorant person
ever to 'grace' the political arena. Some of the lies she spurts is
unbelievable. And what is worse is that she doesn't even realise it. I
would like to know just where she developed her ideology, ideas facts etc.
I dont believe she has tertiary qualifications, which means that she is
educated unfortunately like most of Australia, by the media, Ray Martin et.
al. Ms Hanson has no idea the amount or strength of bias and bigotry that
Aboriginies and other non-white peoples in our society. Australia is a
multi-class country, and aboriginals are usually oppressed to the lower or
underclass. The amount of hatred Hanson has stirred up is only going to
make these problems worse.
Concepts such as 'bludging off the public purse' are ill informed and
ignorant. If she is not racist like she assumes, why not attack all
'bludgers' on social security. When you make assumptions based upon a
persons race, no matter what comment, it IS racist. Who really cares what
percentage of non-whites lives in Australia. (I like the way the non-racist
Hanson always seems to comment on Asian immigration, not British, American,
Russian etc). Thats because they look the same isnt it?
When Hanson pulls out those 'figures' to support her claims she just make
herself look stupid when they are easily refuted by real statistics. Like
her claims on LateLine when she claimed that the current statistics were
not correct> And forgive my language, buit HOW THE F*** (censored) WOULD SHE KNOW?
Where is her indepth education, her studies delving into immigration
standards? Where does she get her crap from? Media media!
She comments upon 50% of Australians will be Asian by 2050, when the
actual figure at current immigration levels is at no more than 10%. But of
course, those bloody slanty eyed bastards will have children here. Now,
when Hanson was asked about where her family came from she said it wasnt
important, 'I am Australian'. But of course those Asian children won't be
will they? Because they look different, have different customs, when they
should bloody assimilate shouldn't they? The assumption that any of THEM
coming to MY country should assimilate beyond basic aptitudes to function
successfully within society is an arrogant and offensive concept. A
question, why should any of us, (beyond what our country can economically
handle) have the right to say who comes to our country? We generally own a
small half acre block and go to work. We are small plebs in a huge society,
what gives us the right to deny access to other half acre blocks? Who
really cares if the person who is working next to us if of another race? If
the working class wants to assume that THEY are taking OUR jobs, blame the
capitalist idea of 'the best man for the job' not the non-white who takes
it. If people worked harder etc then the immigrant wouldn't get the job
would they. But its easier to hate a minority, to offend a people that cant
fight back. I'm sorry to say that i believe that the One Nation party will
probably do well, as there are too many uneducated bigots in this society.
I am ashamed of all of you.
Not so sincerely, Paul Cummins.

PS, Hanson has denied her Hitler similarities. Her party is named One
Nation. What the hell do you (or her) think Ein Reich means?
Have a good one.
