International:

Last week we exposed the relationship between the anti-Pauline Hanson One Nation protesters and radical groups like the US Based Black Panthers.

Now we hear that former Black Panther activist Lorenzo Kom'Boa Ervin who hijacked a plane from the US to Cuba in 1969 after being jailed for kidnapping has said he has come to Australia at the invitation of Brisbane based Angry People in Brisbane to "promote a new revolutionary ferment".

His four week tour will extend to Lismore, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne during which time he is expected to be joined by prominent Aboriginal leaders.

David Ettridge, National Director of Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party, said that Ervin, a proven terrorist, should be deported immediately.

Ervin said that he was still an anarchist and black revolutionary committed to the defeat of white supremacy. "I believe blacks and other oppressed nationalities must have their own agenda, distinct world-view, and organisations of struggle", Ervin said.

He said he would help orgainse a boycott to the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Political:

A large precentage of Australia's army of professional breast beaters, better known as Federal politicians have gone walkabout to the warmer climates of the northern hemisphere at the expense of Australian tax payers - during their ten week winter parliamentray break.

Not interested in their constituents at home or in forging better ties with Asia - subjects they go into raptures about while speaking to the one-eyed media at home - no the "good life and their own personal interests" forego the credibility of the politicians of the past. And of course now that they are in the pocket of Murdoch and Packer you won't hear any negatives about this in the media unless the call comes from the right political quarters...

We are happy to expose some of those who have embarked on this popular pasttime:

*Legitimises tax payers paying for the trip.
Of course the Labor ministers are doing the same thing with the prize going to Simon Creane on his 10 day trip through the wine fields of France.

Sport:

Australian cricket captain Mark Taylor failed again with the bat in the second innings of the third Ashes test against England. The English team were earlier all out for 165 - 72 runs behind Australia's first innings. In their second innings Australia were 156 for 5 at close of play.

Personal trivia, from the global office:

Another beautiful day in paradise with sunny skies.
