The hypocrisy of the year award goes to Japan.
Professor of International Relations at Tokyo's Dokkyo University, Dr Isami Takeda, said that Japan would lobby against federal Independent Member for Oxley Pauline Hanson if her party, One Nation, won seats at the next Federal election.
"Maybe we should work closer together to try to avoid it (happening)", Takeda said, "We should be promoting more positive relations. We have to think more deeply to overcome this racial debate.
Let us remember that it is Japan that has racial discrimination while Ms Hanson's One Nation Party had been widely misreported by News Limited and Packer as a "racist party" to shore up their cosy relationship with the current major political parties.
Remember the story about former federal treasurer John Dawkins and the nanny? Well the Magistrates Court in Perth threw out Dawkins Au$ 3,395 damages claim against the nanny, Darlene Hibbins.
Magistrate Peter Thobaven dismissed Dawkins claim that Hibbins had failed in her duty and also dismissed Hibbins counter claim for unfair dismissal.
Outside the court Ms Hibbins said that she was happy with the decision but would never work as a nanny again after her experience with the Dawkins family.
Mrs Dawkins said in a statement, "When Ms Hibbins left her post, it was most upsetting. I believe it was important to make her account for her behaviour and the inconvenience she caused."
Interesting that the Dawkins trip to Mauritius, first class, no expense spared, was paid for by the Australian tax payer in the first place...
Dear Sir,
Congratulations on your coverage of this milestone event in Pauline Hanson's political career. Your presentation of facts and details was outstanding by its "down to earth" approach. The identification of protesters contained no surprises....recipients of the taxpayer's taxes disguised government largess and dispensers of that largess, who feed from the same trough. Short term satisfaction may be realised, but useful to those taxpayers at voting time.
Keep up the good work,
