Second protest by Pauline Hanson's One Nation at Australian Labor Party meeting

Later this morning I will be accompanying a small group of One Nation members to protest at the presence of the Opposition Minister for Industrial Relations Bob McMullan. The first protest by a One Nation group was at a meeting last year at which poody-tat Lord mayor Jim Soorley was the guest speaker at a poorly attended ALP fund-raiser.

McMullan will be talking to ALP faithful at the Ipswich Railway Workshops and the Goodna Community Centre about industrial relations and the MUA. His visit is aimed at supporting the ALP Oxley's candidate, Bernie Ripoll, who recently outed Mrs Anne Scott who has now taken the selection committee's decision to the Tribunal...

McMullan was the man who authorised Australia's involvement in the Financial Services Industry Agreement in 1995 when he was Trade Minister, and who, in the same year, approved of Australia's involvement in negotiations on the multilateral agreement on investment (or MAI).

The One Nation protesters will hand out documents to the ALP faithful. I have already tipped-off the media that we will be there.

The document can be seen here....

Here is an extracts from the document being handed out to the ALP faithful:

What is the result of Senator McMullan approving the FSIA?

Ask Senator McMullan why he approved the FSIA in 1995 without first informing the Australian people about its subsequent devastating ramifications on bank employees around Australia.

Quotable quotes

"Of the world's 100 largest economies, 51 are corporations -- only 49 are countries. WAL-MART is bigger than 161 countries, including Poland, Israel and Greece. Mitsubishi is larger than the fourth most populous nation on Earth -- Indonesia. General Motors is bigger than Denmark. Ford is bigger than South Africa. Philip Morris is larger than New Zealand. Toyota is bigger than Norway.

As a result of these changes, governments may still govern, but they no longer rule. Corporations rule. The MAI, if it passes, will further this power and increase their influence over our lives."

Maude Barlow, The Council of Canadians, January 1998

Big Mac attack

Here is an extract:

The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting more McDonald's visors. While daily headlines trumpet the ascendance of the all-powerful Dow and increasingly titanic corporate mergers, the service sector is where most of America's new jobs are being created. Many of them are McJobs, a term that has come to signify all jobs characterized by low pay, few benefits and no future.

Regardless of whether a $5.85-an-hour job beneath the golden arches meets all these requirements -- and McDonald's will have you know it doesn't -- it is, by definition, the original McJob. If Marx were alive, he'd probably be handing out the spiffy new edition of his manifesto in Macedonia (pop. 12,000, home to such companies as Century Products, the car baby-seat manufacturer).

Subject: The Sultan of Brunei

I have reservations about your article on the Sultan of brunei. It was reported in the SMH 22/2/97 that the sultan owns three of the largest cattle stations in the territory covering more than 9,000 sq km, but the biggest foreign land owner by far is the Bakrie Bros of Indonesia who own 11 properties, some 18,000 sq km.

What is of greater concern is a statement made by the territories Chief Minister Shane Stone " More than 80% of all primary school children in Darwin study Indonesian from age five."

The Daily Telegraph 26/6/97 reported that English has been dropped from the syllabus of the Northern Territory University and that the core of the English Dept. has been sacked. Some literary studies will still be available - through Indonesian and Chinese literature and as components in such areas as Black Studies and Women's Studies. Hence the University will concentrate on Indonesian and Aboriginal Studies.

It was also reported that the former Chief Minister Marshall Perron signed a separate co-operation agreement with Indonesia in 1992. The present minister Shane Stone is in favour of a two tier immigration system even more radical than the regional scheme implemented by Honest John, this would allow Asians to gain entry to Australia more easily into Darwin than in other parts of Australia.

To this end a ferry service is to be developed between Darwin and Indonesia to facilitate the massive levels of immigration expected . These articles were not front page news but very obscure items tucked away in parts of the paper not normally closely scrutinised, typical of the national media.

Subject: Fw: Sporting Shooters

An article on P39 & P40 of the Sporting Shooter May 98 Edition canvasses support from the shooters for Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party. A few snippets follow.

"Beware the Enemy Within Nick Harvey warns shooters to watch their backs leading up to election time, especially from within their own ranks.

Hoots of derision followed the National Party's announcement that they would be forming Shooters' Branches with the aims of amending the firearm laws. Any shooter with half a brain knows that the Nationals don't have the power to amend anything. They are not even running dogs with the Liberals, just lap dogs who jump through a hoop when told to.

After being shafted by all the major political parties, shooters would be foolish to believe anything they are told by the pollies or anything they read in the media. We all know how we were betrayed by the Nationals who helped implement and enforce the introduction of draconian gun laws after Port Arthur.

IN BED WITH THE U.N.

Although Howard, Fischer and Beazley knew that law abiding gun owners had nothing to do with Port Arthur, they conducted a bipartisan witch hunt and we were all made scapegoats. But obviously our leaders were acting under orders from their masters at the United Nations.

I am an Australian citizen who believes in free speech and the right of people to live their lives without undue interference from government. Gun control Howard-style interferes with our right to enjoy our chosen sport and will do nothing to stamp out the criminal use of firearms or prevent future massacres.

The only party which is forming sensible and fair policies on gun ownership is Pauline Hanson's One Nation. This has caused the media to label it an "unholy alliance" between One Nation and the gun movement.

Last year One Nation issued a press release Firearms Principles of Direction which stated:
1 Australians have the right to defend themselves and their families in their own homes.
2 Shooting is a legitimate sport and pastime and participants should be treated accordingly.
3 Disarming law abiding Australians is not in the national interest and will do nothing to reduce crime.

THE WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING

With a double dissolution election looming over the horizon, the Nationals are desperately trying to woo back support from the bush and the shooters they shafted. In this they are being aided and abetted by traitors to the shooter's cause-the enemy within.

Shooters cannot vote for any of the major parties again or we'll be worse off than we are now. But with One Nation, the Shooters Party and the Reform Party all up and running, we are not left entirely without hope."

The article also mentioned that "there are 3 million gun owners Nation wide that are now dedicated to wiping the Nationals Party off the face of the political map in the next election."
