How much can one person cram into 60 hours?
Article from the Black Opal Advocate - covering Pauline's trip to Lightning Ridge last weekend.
The sort of story that has never ever been published in the unethical News Limited media.....
Pauline Hanson demonstrated to Lightning Ridge that, with a keen mind and fit body, the following itinerary is achievable:
Friday April 3rd: Ms Hanson arrives in Lightning Ridge and at 7pm dined with invited guests at the Lightning Ridge Bowling Club, mingling freely until about midnight.
Saturday 4th April: She went mining, travelled to Coocoran, where she met with miners, then on to Bangate Station for a barbeque lunch and informal meeting with a crowd, made up predominantly of landowners.
Somewhere inbetween she managed to go down a mine to have a look around and have how mining was done explained to her.
At 7.30pm Ms Hanson then spoke at a public meeting at the Bowling Club for several hours and introduced the candidates for the One Nation Party for the Gwydir electorate.
Sunday April 5th: She went for an early morning jog to the Bore Baths, went fishing until 1pm and then attended a tailout. Ms Hanson enjoyed a mid-afternoon private barbeque hosted by miners.
6pm saw her, again at the bowling club, where she drew the winning ticket in the car promotion.
Ms Hanson mingled with patrons with whom she posed for photos and signed autographs until 9pm.
Monday April 6th: Looking poised and smartly dressed at 5.15am Ms Hanson, and her party, were farewelled by Lyn from The Advocate, Chooky from the little diggers and local entertainers, Joan and Billy Hackett.
Her farewell was made more memorable, and unique, as Bill sang to her a composition which depicted Pauline Hanson and her One Nation party aptly.
Looking weary but extremely proud over what has been described, an overwhelming success, Convener Eddie Webb, expressed sincere thanks to everyone involved, in particular the Lightning Ridge Bowling Club and staff.
One Nation accepted many memberships from many people throughout the weekend and the formation of a branch and election of office bearers will transpire on a date and time to be advertised.
Another perfect day in paradise.
Have a good one.
