Following Prime Minister John Howard's visit to China and a payment by his family the leader ordered that Peng be taken out of jail. There is a hick-up though, the Chinese authorities demanded that Peng sign a confession to embezzlement and corruption before he was deported.
This he has refused to do - following a payment by his family of Au$3,200 "investigation fee" on May 21st saw his release from Dongguan jail.
Peng has refused to sign saying that he is innocent of the charges which resulted in his being sentenced to 18 years jail.
Mr Lawrence Ma, the legal adviser of the outspoken anti-Hanson Queensland Chinese Community Voice yesterday revealed that he had received a threatening letter about two months ago from a group calling itself "The Anglo-Saxons and European Rights League".
Mr Ma said that he had delayed making the letter public until now because of the recent developments including the "endorsement" by the Ku Klux Klan of Ms Hanson's One Nation party.
Ms Hanson was unavailable for comment last night but both her principle adviser David Oldfield said that he did not believe that such an organisation existed and he questioned the letter's validity and origin while making it clear that he was not accusing Ma of fabrication.
The National Director of One Nation, David Ettridge, was furious this morning when Channel Seven used file footage of Ms Hanson to imply that she had responded last night to the letter. This was not the case as Ms Hanson had not been available for comment.
The Queensland Liberal Party president Paul Everingham said yesterday that the State Government should consider establishing an Asian affairs department to combat damage done by Ms Hanson.
Everingham also warned Hanson and her supporters that they could expose themselves to legal action if their comments or actions adversely affected trade or were clearly discriminatory.

The Howard government are looking at covering their backside before the next election by calling a plebiscite on a goods and services tax.
Industrial relations minister Peter Reith admitted that the plebiscite would have advantages for the coalition as it would discount the political risks taken by changing the taxation system in Australia.
"It politically has the benefit of clearing the decks before an election and getting a focussed discussion on it, rather than putting the Government's political fortunes in jeopardy at a general election."
The Australian Labor Party continues to reject the idea of a Goods and Services Tax (GST) setting the scene for the next election campaign to be fought over taxation reforms.
Opposition spokesman called the idea of calling a plebiscite at the cost of an estimated Au$50 million "bizarre".
"Tax reform is too complex an issue to be reduced to a single plebiscite question. The fact that the Government can even contemplate floating an idea like this is just a sign of the panicky disarray that it is in," he said.
During the week of June 14th, 1997, I have had my name mentioned in several Australian newspaper articles. One of them was from a skeptical on-line newspaper editor. He seems to think that I am in the for the money. This is far from the case.

I am going to do a psychic viewing and profile of the Perth, Australia
serial killer from my home in New York City. Afterwards I am posting this
article to the same news agencies that have sent me email in this matter
and also to those whom I sent email too. I will also send a copy the
Western Australia Police Authorities that I have on my email list.
My initial psychic viewing of the SK tells me that he has more than the
reported three victims. I sense that one of his first human victims was taken in
mid 1988 from another Perth area hotel. This victim was abducted as she
entered her car. I believe that the SK used the victims car to transport
her to a kill and dump site before ditching the car elsewhere. There is a
small chance that the SK knew this victim .
The victim was chosen because of his women's foot fetish. He seems to like
women that wear spiked or larger heeled shoes.
The WA Police suspect that the SK is a Police Officer or Security Guard
that has been described as a "Verbal, intelligent man who has been able to
get the trust of his victims." I don't think this is the case were the SK
is a Police Official, although he may be a posing as a Police Officer or
Security Guard, Fireman of some sort.
The question that hit me in the psychic viewing was. Why eight years
between the same method of operations (M.O.)? I believe that the SK is a
convicted criminal. His past crimes may be burglary related. I feel that he
was locked up for some time after the first abduction and killing. While in
prison he fantasized about his past killing and the dumping of the body and
how he could become more professional at it.
I also sense that he is a Public Service buff of sorts. This could account
for my visions of him in a Police, Fireman, or Security uniform.
I feel that Jane Rimmer's body was placed within the area of the prison
because the SK had done time there. This action would give him something to
fantasize about if he is ever caught for his other criminal acts. The SK
did not intend for the bodies to be found. This action has upset him, and
with the pressure on the police to capture him, this is why he placed Ciara
Glennon's body far away from the Rimmer site. I feel that his killings will
stop for the short term as he has become more proficient in his hunt. He
does not want to be caught.
But he will start again in the future, this is a guarantee!
