Important - there is no recourse or recrimination back on you if you lodge a complaint. It is your right to watch and report to the Australian Press Council (APC) on the media.
We all complain about the manner in which the media distort the truth. Now you can fight back and must! The media don't want you to know about the APC because this regulatory body spells Trouble with a capital "T" for them.
After some research on the APC
home page I have discovered a legitimate "soft" target for @notd readers
to consider when registering complaints against newspapers.
Last year there were just 47 complaints of false or misleading headlines to the APC. This represented an amazing 51% of the claims made in the last ten years (see chart).
Here are the other major growth areas in complaints to the APC (ave 13%):

There is nothing fancy about making a complaint. It takes two minutes and all you have to do is complete an on-line form and retain a copy of the offensive article. If you are complaining about a false or misleading heading be specific. Say so in just as many words in the on-line complaint form.
IMPORTANT: Know the guidelines for what constitutes a valid complaint.. do not deliberately lodge complaints outside the guidelines.
Once you have made an on-line complaint the APC will write back to you probably asking you to send them the article.
They will also write to or contact the newspaper requesting an explanation. The paper's editor is normally the person contacted by the APC to respond to the complaint. The paper has to respond in writing and if you are not happy with their explanation you then have the right to demand that the APC adjudicate. If the APC rule in your favour the paper is forced to carry a retraction and statement from the APC explaining their decision. (Remember the process costs you NOTHING - no lawyers are involved on either side).
Now this is important because the editor is the one who is responsible for the bias and misrepresentation that his paper carries (even if he is doing his master's bidding). Once a stream of valid complaints start flowing the editor will be forced to reconsider his editorial approach.
False or misleading headlines ON ANY ARTICLE is a soft target - because they occur in most papers every day. Every complaint that you register creates a real headache for the editorial staff who

Paul Keating has already claimed that the continuing vilification of him on 60 Minutes is linked to Packer's own agenda regarding his demand for changes to the media ownership laws in Australia.
Now Labor backbencher Mark Latham has attacked Packer in Parliament saying, "Mr Keating is now paying the public price for standing up to the Packer organisation about its ambition to take over Fairfax. No one in this Parliament, least of all those who truly value the principle of Parliamentary independence, should support his campaign."
"If anyone takes the same stand as Paul Keating, they will end up being subjected to the same treatment. This is the standard Packer treatment, the media politics of intimidation and vendettas.
"This is the reason why the Howard Government has had the cross media rules under a permanent state of review since March 1996 (Federal Election at which the Coalition were elected).
"None of us, at any time, under the circumstances, should ever cave into intimidation."
Latham warned against changing the media ownership laws to meet Packer's demands. It was Keating who stopped Packer owning Fairfax - because of his ownership of Channel 9.
For once I have got to say good on ya Paul.
The word "Laboral" got an airing for the first time in the mainstream media today with The Courier-Mail's Peter Charlton reporting under the heading "A victory... of sorts":
Oldfield talks darkly of the "ridiculous vendetta" against One Nation pursued by the major parties while One Nation's webmaster, Scott Balson, describes the Liberal and Labor parties as the "Laboral factions".
Charlton continues:
Oldfield had a crack at the media, because elements were "out to get" One Nation.
At the risk of agreeing with Oldfield he has a point.
It's OK for Liberals to refer to past aboriginal cannibalism, and if anybody complains then they are over sensitive.
But if a member of One Nation says it, it's pure racism.
Herron defends cannibal statements Monday 29 March, 1999
Federal Minister for Aboriginal Affairs John Herron says there is nothing wrong with claiming Aborigines were once cannibals.
Western Australian Liberal backbencher Barry Haase made the aside at a recent Parliamentary inquiry held on Bathurst Island.
He defended his actions, saying it was nothing more than a joke.
Senator Herron told Federal Parliament he had spoken to his colleague about the incident.
"Madam president have we reached a state of affairs in this country when somebody...cracks a joke around the place, that it then becomes a matter of something it wasn't," he said.
"They're all unanimous on the other side [that] nobody can crack a joke - now is it no longer possible for anyone to crack a joke and say something of that nature."
It started Friday and escalated through the weekend, overwhelming dozens of commercial, government and military sites. The culprit: A Word-based macro virus that replicated itself through e-mail . Experts said they'd never seen a virus spread so fast -- and worried over what would happen as the nation's workers returned to their keyboards Monday
Dr Ruth Westheimer, the world's most famous sex therapist better known simply as, Dr Ruth, is in Sydney.
Dr Ruth, who has been invited to Sydney by a nervous Government backbench concerned by the Prime Minister's tax plan, and subsequent behaviour, is certainly not shy when it comes to speaking her mind.
In an interview, Dr Ruth revealed that, after John Howard reneged on his "never ever" pledge to Australians and came up with his tax reform package, she had been consulted by a few alarmed backbenchers.
"It was quite obvious to me," said Dr Ruth. "The Prime Minister is suffering from a classic case of GST envy. It is really quite common, but it is rare for it to manifest itself so late in one's life".
"Although when you look at it more closely, this has obviously been on the Prime Minister's mind for the last 20 years. Probably ever since he first saw Paul Keating's own GST back in 1985. The size of it would have had an enormous impact on his impressionable mind".
"This lingering condition would have worsened over the years. Remember, he is in a very difficult environment. I believe the New Zealand Government is very proud of their GST, and it has been growing ever since they introduced it. And of course, they are now led by a woman. This could be regarded as a severe blow to John Howard's ego, and serve to exasperate his latent condition. It shows in the tax reform package he has released".
"It is interesting that, rather than play ball with his peers, and take on the Labor Party, the Prime Minister's tax reform policy pits him against welfare groups and the church. This is nothing more than schoolyard, bully-boy behaviour and quite commonly used to compensate for an inadequate package.
"Unfortunately, this testosterone rot is spreading through the Government ranks, as they continue their attacks on the less privileged. The Social Security Minister, Jocelyn Newman, has already dismissed criticism from the country's leading welfare group, the Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS), as lacking in credibility because it was "put together with a few calculators in a backroom in Redfern".
"Another Liberal has lashed out at church leaders suggesting they need to decide whether they are socialists or churchmen".
"And of course now the Prime Minister wants to prove his GST is bigger than anybody else's. It will also include food! Even the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which is strongly in favour of a consumption tax agrees food should possibly be left alone!"
"It is obvious that this so called GST reform is nothing more than a bit of pandering to the bigger boys in town, while those less well endowed will be worse off".
"The Greens and Democrats, unlike the Labor Party have a much more holistic attitude to the problem. They are not put off by their small size, and are quite aware that it is not the size of your tax base that matters. It's how you use it. Unfortunately, it appears no Australian government has been able to do anything more than play with it in public".
"Don't be fooled by the Governments offer to provide compensation to the less fortunate. Once the Government has successfully inserted their GST into the economy, they will drive it in hard. It can only get bigger and bigger. On the other hand, they, in a position of power, will be able to remove any safety precautions whenever they feel like it".
"Make no mistake, if the Prime Minister's GST does not screw the whole country, it will at the very least give every Australian a huge headache. Unfortunately, over-the-counter medicine like aspirin will cost a lot more".

PHOENIX, Mar. 28 - How would you feel if you were a US Air Force pilot, who has just been ordered by a self-confessed liar and a Vietnam draftdodger to incinerate a bunch of people you'd never heard of, in a country you never knew even existed before the pre-mission briefing?
Pretty miserable, I would assume, if the pilot were a decent human being? And doubly so, if he were a Christian, acquiescing to the order to destroy innocent fellow-Christians. And especially if he were to find out that the people he was bombing were U.S. allies in two world wars who had saved 500 American pilots downed by the Nazi anti-aircraft artillery during WW II. Just ask Major Richard Felman of Tucson, who is one of the people who owes his life to the Serbs (check out our Web site for more details).
Yet, if you listen to the rhetoric of our Vietnam "fraud heros," like Senator John McCain , for example, Clinton's comrade-in-arms when it comes to disinformation and betrayal of the American people, now that the President has ordered our military into action (however illegally!!), we must all line up behind him.
To which I say, bull! Two wrongs don't make a right. That's exactly what this two-bit "war hero," a member of the infamous "Keating Five," who used to take vacations in the Caribbean on the convicted fellon's Charles Keating's yacht, said in December 1995 so as to justify Clinton's sending our troops to Bosnia. For a maximum of 12 months, we were told.
Huh! Any American still able to count? The 12-month period ran out in December 1996. And you think that Clinton only lied about his affair with that slut Lewinsky?
Meanwhile, back to the terrible quandary which our honorable men and women in the armed forces face, obeying an order by a man like that. Do you bomb, or don't you?
Judging by the devastation which some have wreaked on a sovereign country which never meant any harm to the U.S., some of our brave fighting men perhaps never gave even a fleeting thought to such moral issues. Nor did they consider that, by attacking the sovereign countries and killing innocent civilians, they may have BROKEN their oath of allegiance to the United States.
For, the only thing the American people expect of our armed forced is to DEFEND OUR COUNTRY, not attack others. The only thing that any member of our armed forces I know has sworn to do is to DEFEND OUR COUNTRY, not attack others.
BELGRADE, Mar. 28 - "Never go to war with a country whose national holiday celebrates a defeat in 1389," warned Rob Morse, a columnist at the San Francisco Examiner, in his today's column.
While NATO intensified its bombing of Serbia, now in its fifth day, some 15,000 Belgrade residents of all ages, including some 60+-year olds, sang and danced at an all-day rock concert today in the city's Freedom Square. Not even the sound of frequent sirens warning the citizens to head for air shelters stopped this act of open defiance to NATO's "might."
Some teenagers and children could be seen wearing newly designed T-shirts with a black "bull's eye" painted on them. Others just pinned the TARGET signs on their clothing or heads. Underneath, the word TARGET was written in English. Others tried to help "guide" NATO bombers by carrying a huge, 30-foot long TARGET sign through the city streets. One of the bigger signs read: "Sorry, we didn't know it was invisible," mocking NATO's supposedly invincible "Stealth" F-117 bomber, which the Serbs shot down yesterday (see the fresh photos of its wreckage at our Web site - Day 4, Update 2 Bulletin).
Another example of the Serbs' sense of humor bolstering their defiance of the "world's greatest superpower" was evident in this mock "Classified Ad," which was sent to us from Belgrade:

Our source added, "wonder who will be the highest bidder - the Russians or the Chinese?"
Meanwhile, a Belgrade cartoonist sent us a very special NATO birthday cake (check it out at our Web site).
It would appear. therefore, that the trigger-happy and power-hungry Clinton officials haven't the slightest idea about what kinds of people they have just attacked. And that, in the end, they will end up the same way as Hitler did. God willing...
BELGRADE, Mar. 28 - While continuing to accuse the Serbs of "ethnic cleansing," "genocide" and other unsubstantiated charges in Kosovo (which cannot be verified by anyone, since there are no independent observers left on the ground there), the NATO forces continue to do just that - by bombing the Serb civilian targets, not just the military ones, as they are claiming.
This evening, Belgrade TV (and CNN) showed pictures of the burning apartment buildings in Pristina, Kosovo, hit today by NATO, the damage caused to Belgrade's civilian airport at Surcin, and to some of Serbia's ancient monasteries.
For those of you who watched this evening the pictures of the burning apartment buildings in Serbia, just think... unlike in the "Wag the Dog" movies, real people, not virtual images, had breakfast there this morning before being vaporized by the NATO "supermen." And that's Clinton's road to "peace?"
KOSOVO, Mar. 28 - As Washington's "Wag the Dog" "Lie & Deny Studios" went into overdrive this evening in order to obfuscate the crimes against humanity which NATO was committing in Serbia, CNN broadcast this evening a bogus e-mail exchange between an Albanian girl and a student at Berkeley.
How do we know it was bogus? Because Professor Emeritus of the Northeastern Illinois University, an Irish-American, J.P. Maher, said so. And he said so on March 19, 1999, having seen the alleged "Adona" e-mail exchange! Yes, folks, he did it five days BEFORE the NATO strikes against Serbia had even begun, working off of the e-mail traffic on the Internet. Here's a copy of the message we received from him on Fri, 19 Mar 1999 12:58:37 -0600:
"First there were the "ham radio operators" of Gorazde. -- Where do they hang out now?
Then there was "Zlata's Diary" (another fraud produced by the NWO's "Wag the Dog" Lie & Deny Studios) her unadorned girlish work appeared in Sarajevo, but was re-written and "augmented" by Ms Pribicevic in London.
Now "Youth Radio" has "Letters from Kosovo". On NPR ["National Public Radio," this date] Bob Edwards presented "Letters from Kosovo" on NPR.
An American teen-ager reads "Adona's" e-mails, written in groovy language.
"Adona" has a computer and e-mail.. Before the fighting flared up, she liked to hang out with the kids till 11 PM.
Adona thinks about the same things as American kids, dating and rock music. -- She didn't mention if her father and his wives (no typo - Muslims are allowed to have many wives) approved; assuming they permitted this liberated life style.

PHOENIX, Mar. 28 - Amid all the protests around the world, and all the American embassies being defaced or even fired upon, as in Moscow today, has anyone noticed that there was one American embassy which has NOT been attacked? The U.S. embassy at the Kneza Milosa street in Belgrade - the city which has been under attack by the American-inspired NATO forces.

Congratulations on your growing popularity,I believe more people would have voted #1 for you if the results had been less critical to keep Labour out of office. Many of my friends are One Nation supportors but had to put Liberals first. Had it not been for the Libs idea to sell the power,they would possibly have won more seats and so would have One Nation.

I was taught arithmetic in a Victorian State Primary. Your State Election analysts should learn the difference between spin and lying.
Across NSW, according to your frontpage (29/3), the Liberals lost 8%. One Nation picked up 7%. Australians Against Further Immigration got 1%. The ALP vote hardly changed.
I'd call it a great victory for Nationalism & Ecology, and a rejection of Chickarovski- Souris- Nogorotto Multiculturalism.
The Liberal leader said, "I will not be pressing for a population policy for Australia, nor will I be pressing for a reduction in the annual immigration program".

Support for like minded groups
I support your proposal for increased One Nation cooperation with like-minded groups. (@NOTD 28/3/99) As a start, maybe we can support Graeme Campbell's drive on the Native Title Petition:
One Nation has already stated that it is in total agreement with this proposal. It seems like an ideal opportunity to overcome past rivalries and foster a new level of mutual support and cooperation.
Could you distribute this advice on the One Nation email list, as well as publishing it on @NOTD? I'm sure that it would raise goodwill from members of both parties toward eachother.

I have realized why there are so many crap shows that the TV is hardly worth watching anymore.
Its because the same media barons own the free-to-air stations as well as the pay TV stations.
Their scam is to keep their shonky free-to-air news free to maintain deception of the sheeple, but make all other programs crap like old re-runs, yankee comedies, fringe sports, etc.
They spend up on pay TV shows (worthy shows that should be free-to-air) to force the bored sheeple to get pay TV (to make more money of course).
Owning free-to-air and pay TV is a blatant conflict of interest and way to monopolize the market.
This is the reason why the rugby outfit has been wrecked, all caused by trying to monopolize on pay TV.
All rugby supporters should be made to realize that the media barons are the root of all evil. There should be lots of votes here for future elections.
Limiting media ownership (and breaking up current empires) should be a high priority.

Stealth fighter downed in Balkans
It is highly unlikely that the US would have allowed their Stealth Fighter to go down by accident.
There is a view that they have been trying to test out the 10 Russian SAM missile systems in Serbia, not to mention to find out where they are. Give this thing two weeks. It should really escalate over the next 4-5 days. Milosovich was used by the US, & is now no longer useful. He was behind a big car deal a few years ago with Kissinger & Eagleburger, which he reneged on & stuffed up. There is nothing accidental about this latest Balkans deal. We should just keep right out of it. Unfortunately, the Serbs will not forgive the West for bombing them like they are. Forgiveness is not a national trait. One should be doing a little investigation into WHO the serbian protesters in Australia are. That would be a good job for the new ASIO, don't you think??
The other thought is with a coming world recession, nothing like boosting the stocks of world armament companies to keep the bubble going, eh?

Environmental Nazis
Todays news showed what some think Australia should revert to. A group of Environment Nazi's 'protesting' about uranium mining blocked entry to a building in Melbourne which houses a company they don't like and other businesses and appartments. They not only stopped people from going about their business but also residents from entering their dwellings. They asked those residents for ID (!!!!!!!!!!!) in order to separate them from business people.
What the hell is going on in this country. Do now a self appointed group of small time terrorists have the power to make their own laws and apply those to us?
And all this condoned by the Victoria Police force?
We are now lowered into standards previously applied in Nazi Germany, Communist Russia and nowaday Iraq.
It is interesting to note that a number of those Enviro Nazi's were the very same people who last year in Hawthorn violently stopped Australian Citizens from attending a One Nation meeting.
At this meeting the Victoria Police Force, like today, also failed to defend our Constitutional Right to free speech and assembly. Do we have to organise ourselves into Citizens Rights Defence groups?

Multinationals abuse Queen
The German multinational company Wella has recently advertised its hair dye in the Australian magazine New Idea showing The Queen as pictured on our five dollar banknote but wearing a wig.
Although the advertisement is not as blatantly crude as others, it is nevertheless insulting and in very bad taste.
The Queen's Majesty may not mean much to Her subjects today, especially following the downgrading of the sovereignty of our Constitution by successive Governments. However as long as Her Majesty is Queen of Australia and the fifteen other Commonwealth realms it is our duty to protect the dignity of our Monarchy and we appeal to Monarchists to make a formal protest to Wella requesting that they immediately withdraw the advertisement and formally and publicly apologise to Her Majesty and Her Loyal Subjects for the offense caused.

I read a book by James Kirby on the Holocaust in which he makes the amazing statement "The Hanson Phenonom proves that difficult issues such as racism or more specifically anti-sematism , must be dealt with effectively however unsavory or costly in the short term" It is hard to see what he really means by this statement (page xi of the acknowlegement) but it does call for some sort of action or even possibly a threat to PH.
Surely if your book was taken off the shelf then so should this by Angus and Robertson.

Organise demos in major city centres(the bigger the better).
