[MURDER BY MEDIA, DEATH OF DEMOCRACY
IN AUSTRALIA]
There is a startling insight to the article below by Mike O'Connor which, by its terminology suggests that he has watched the programme. The truth is he has not - all O'Connor has read is the ABC press release on the story about Pauline Hanson which goes live to air tonight.
This is where he got the ABC's background information (or see ABC press release below) from which the trash he wrote has been spun... I can tell you that the ABC are absolutely furious about the lack of ethics and balance displayed by The Courier-Mail but we are not surprised. This is just par for the course for Murdoch's lackeys.
Here is an extract from the article "Hanson hangs her hopes on hateful media":
The Courier-Mail - 17th February 1999, Mike O'Connor
Hanson may blame the media for many of the woes that have beset her - "They're a pack of wolves and they absolutely disgust me. I think a lot of them are biased in their views and they have no scruples whatsoever."
For someone who despises the media so much, she has learned to use it to her considerable advantage as she shows in this programme, playing to the camera as a victim of her popularity.
"I've found it hard to find friends, whether they be male or female... but just finding someone because of who I am and the position that I am in," she sighs.
The wounded appearance she projects is reminiscent of a dog which has just been ordered out of the house. "What have I done? Why me?" it asks.
"Ive found it very hard to find friends, whether
they be male or female... But just finding someone, because of who I am and
the position that I am in, that you can speak to them openly, so you tend
to keep very much to yourself. So, I havent got many close friends.
"Ive been able to get the Australian people to stop and think and listen
and to have a voice. And how many people have ever been able to do that.
Ive been able to turn the Australian political scene around in less
than two years. Can they do that?
"I think theyre (the media) a pack of wolves and they absolutely disgust
me. I think a lot of them are so biased in their views, they have no scruples
about them whatsoever, they have no respect for anyones privacy. And
with a lot of them, if it happened to them theyd probably squeal the
most."
She must be the most controversial woman to ever emerge
in Australian public life.
Her name is Pauline Hanson and shes changed the face of Australian
politics.
She has been demonised and deified, ridiculed and revered.
Shes scaled the heights and the depths.
Its been the kind of roller coaster that would crush most mortals.
The politics have been exhaustively examined, but on February 18 Australian
Story attempts to get beyond the hype and the hysteria to answer the question
- "just what is it about Pauline?"
Australian Story started filming with Pauline Hanson at the end of last year
after One Nations disastrous Federal election showing.
The program includes emotional, candid and personal material and contains
fresh insights from family members and associates who have not previously
been interviewed.
The Internet was the communication vehicle used by the Kurds in their terrorist activities in taking over the Greek embassy in Sydney according to their spokesman Em Hassam on A Current Affair last night.
The face of multiculturalism "in all its glory" came home to haunt us asa result after the Kurds mobilised in Sydney as a terrorist group reacting to the arrest of their leader in exile Abdullah Ocalan in Kenya.
Half a dozen police were hurt during the demonstration by the Kurds which brought traffic to a standstill in Sydney yesterday. Young men carried cans of petrol, even pouring the contents over themselves and threatening to torch their bodies in protest.
Last night Mike Munro interviewed One Nation's David Oldfield after the major parties refused to participate in the hot potato that they have created - multiculturalism... the Kurd representative started off with this great Australian comment:
"If we were planning to take some - we would take some hostages..." Kurdish spokesman Hassam.
David Oldfield, "I think its completely disgraceful I can't think why Hassam and his people would expect Australians to support them after the criminal and terrorist acts. I mean To take over a building in large numbers with large bats, molotov cocktails, petrol and knives and endanger the lives of decent Australians and police authorities is a disgrace. There is no excuse fir it. This country has given these people a place to live. It has fed them and clothed them and looked after them and this is the way we are rewarded. You should not be endangering the lives of the people who have helped you in trying to form some sort of protest."
"The law is not on our side today..." Hassam.
"I'm sure that all Australians as are many people around the world - horrified with the Kurd situation, but there is no excuse for doing this sort of thing in Australia. If they want to protest they should do it peacefully. They should hop on a bus and go down to Canberra and wave some placards out the front. Now they may think that they won't get any where with that but they are endangering the lives of the people who have opened their homes to them."
Interviewer to David Oldfield, "Should we paying more attention to the Kurdish issue?"
"Of course we should be paying more attention to these problems all over the world, the Kurds included. Their people who are here, the Kurds should understand whether they are going to be Australians or whether they are going to be Kurds who live in Australia because there is a very definite difference and no one here in Australia is oppressing Kurds, no one here in Australia is vilifying them in any way but they quite frankly, they have crossed the lines and become terrorists and they should be treated as criminals."
Viewer's comment:
Scott hi,
I have just watched David Oldfield and his interview with Mike Munro, and a representative of the Kurdish community................
Thank God we have some one like him and Pauline Hanson, who have the courage to say what we all feel.
Regards,
Peter J. Smith
Yes One Nation should be proud of David Oldfield - he is a great and astute performer who speaks his mind - and the media would love us to all persecute him because he does add weight to our concerns.
Here is an extract from the word document:
The largest media conglomerate today is Walt Disney Company, whose chairman and CEO, Michael Eisner, is a Jew. The Disney Empire, headed by a man described by one media analyst as a "control freak", includes several television production companies (Walt Disney Television, Touchstone Television, Buena Vista Television), its own cable network with 14 million subscribers, and two video production companies.
A few years ago I ran into a man called Seraph Bondarenko who had been a classmate in primary school. As the son of post WW2 Russian migrants he probably did not speak much English when he started school, but picked it up rapidly the way children do. Despite his name, Seraph was no angel. He was not very bright and was frequently in trouble for his boisterousness. We attended a Catholic school run by the brown joeys and they were quite uninhibited about caning children. Seraph was so silly he once gave a bamboo stick he'd found to Sister Veronica - and he was the first to cop it!
He left school early and became a petty criminal. When I met him he was facially disfigured and walked stiffly. He told me he'd been in a car accident (while on a job) and that his life of crime was over as a consequence of his injuries. But he was happy. He said things were really good: the detectives were nice to him and said, "Hi, Bondi!" whenever they saw him. This chuffed him greatly. But what gave this poor man his greatest pride was the fact that he was literate. Out of the blue he said to me: "But I can read and write. Lot's of these others can't, you know. But we were properly educated, weren't we. We can read and write". Possibly he read no more than the TV guide, and had no occasion to write - but he was literate and proud of it.
The Chair of the Committee, Mr Gary Nairn MP, Member for Eden - Monaro, said that "the Committee's predecessors have reported on every federal election held since 1984, resulting in an ongoing review of all areas of electoral policy and administration."
"Federal election inquiries conducted by the Committee's predecessors have a reputable history of improving the accountability and efficiency of Australia's electoral system," Mr Nairn said.
Moves by Rupert Murdoch to acquire a slice of Russia's most influential television station have provoked a furious response from politicians, who plan emergency legislation to block the deal.
The media magnate faces a formidable struggle if he is to succeed in his attempts to buy into the Russian market.
His strategic partnership with the embattled tycoon Boris Berezovsky seems to have backfired. The Russian's enemies have taken action after reports that he has been negotiating the sale of up to 20 percent of shares in ORT, the main TV channel, to Mr. Murdoch.
Valentina Matvityenko, a deputy prime minister, insisted that any such sale "to an international structure or a private person is out of the question."
The Russian parliament will give the first reading to a law this week that would ban the sale of ORT shares to foreigners. Genady VoIkov, the Duma deputy drafting the legislation, said: "Foreigners have no business at ORT. If a sale goes ahead before the bill becomes law, we'll just cancel it retrospectively."
Mr. Murdoch's News Corp. does not acknowledge any interest in ORT, adding: "We may have something to Say later On."
News Corp is also looking at ORT offshoots, such as film distribution companies.
ORT has the highest television ratings in Russia.
Its financial and management structure was set up to help to secure a second term in office for President Boris Yeltsin. With the Yeltsin era coming to an end, a battle for control of ORT has begun. And Mr. Berezovsky, who has been running the station despite holding only a minority stake, appears vulnerable.
He has sought to fend off his many enemies through a strategic alliance with Mr. Murdoch. Their relationship spawned co-operation in telecommunications and the creation of a joint advertising agency. There they may have to leave things for now, with Mr. Berezovsky fighting to survive and Mr. Murdoch, according to one consultant, the victim of a "public relations disaster inside Russia that will take years to recover from"'
It is not the first time that an empire-builder has had to retreat from Moscow.
"Napoleon looked sharp until he came to Russia", wrote Leonid Bershidsky, a media commentator. "But Russian ways of doing business are even more dangerous to foreigners than the Russian winter was to French troops."
Multiculturalism
With the attack on the Greek embassy, we again see how "well" multi-culturalism works in Australia. It sickens me that these so called "Australians" behave in this manner. I wonder if they would defend our great country with the same vigour??? (I doubt it.)
If people really think multi-culturalism is good for Australia then I would like to show them a few second hand cars and a coat-hanger shaped bridge I have for sale.
We really are a pathetic, stupid lot of people to continue to put up with this sort of crap. Maybe we should put up signs at airports saying, "Welcome to the land of Suckers. Bring all your maniacal issues here, treat our country like dirt, take our money and scream 'RACIST Whingers' if we start to complain.".

Dumb White Australian Voter
Kick Kurds out
The hysterical and psychopathic behaviour of these fanatical scumbags clearly demonstrates the folly and unsuitability of multi-culturalism in Oz! When are we going to be relieved of the infliction of murdering, insane pigs like these Kurds(and a few other 'flavours'.....Muslims, for example!)
Oz is no sanctuary for these vermin......in future, immigrants to this country should be restricted to those maintaining and upholding a Judeao-Christian world view!
That way, we can all sleep soundly in our beds at night!
cheers!

An alternative view on One Nation

Thanks for the effort anyway, no worries. I find your book very interesting. I and many others, however, are of the opinion that the two Davids must go. They have caused more strife than Flash Gordon ever found himself in. If you look at a graph of time/popularity, you will soon discover that PH's popularity soared following (a) Bruce Whiteside's large meeting on the Gold Coast, (b) PH's maiden speech, and (c) PH's Melbourne speech, both of the latter being written by John Pasquerale, not by either of the two Davids. This popularity carried forward with its own momentum until around the end of 1997, when it became apparent that the two Davids particularly David O, had conned his way into PH's confidence, and, some say, her pants.
Don't ake my word for it, check the calendar. I know because I was foundation chairman of the Beaudesert branch, which we would have taken, had the two Davids done the right thing. In fact, had John Pasquerale not been sacked, we would now have at least 25 members in state government, and balance of power.
They sacked all of the good men they ever had. Many other, including myself, resigned in disgust. I have spent a lifetime fighting for this country politically, and I have never seen anything like this. What's left in PHON is very average quality. They (the two Davids) think they know what's good for us. This is the very thing we are trying to get away from!
Get real Scott
A new organisation is needed - quickly, so that the 1.5M people have something to hang their hat on.
Kind Regards
