[MURDER BY MEDIA, DEATH OF DEMOCRACY
IN AUSTRALIA]
The real reason behind the defection by One Nation MP for Barambah, Dolly Pratt and Tablelands MP Shaun Nelson is coming clearer now.
Just before the State Conference in November last year I referred to a tip-off that front men for Tony Pitt and the editor of the New Australian paper were considering tabling their own constitution and staging a walk out for the media when their ploy failed. At this time the New Australian tabled the formation of a new party called "New Nation".
Since this time I have received information that Pratt and Nelson have been in close contact with New Nation proponent in Queensland, Paul Trewartha, since November last year. Trewartha was formerly a senior One Nation executive. The major drive for New Nation in New South Wales is by Keith Bawden (who was earlier removed from the party's State Executive).
Apparently Trewartha and his "handpicked table of sixteen" have been working at getting the New Nation party registered. Of course, the easiest way is to have the party registered by a sitting MP - just like Pauline Hanson, as an independent, registered One Nation back in 1997.
It is now clear that the defection of Pratt and Nelson was linked to the Trewartha/New Nation link with Pratt allegedly being promised leadership status when she announces her move to the new party.
For the record, New Nation is basically One Nation without the two Davids and Pauline Hanson. The policies and philosophies are identical... the main difference being the number of "dissident" One Nation members who now make up the new groups membership. The thrust of New Nation is to attract One Nation members under the guise of a "truly democratic party". This is a somewhat surprising claim seeing that Trewartha selected his inner circle personally and that the "constitution" of New Nation has had no input from any members - being largely drafted by Tony Pitt.
One has got to question the tactics used by MPs who got elected largely through the work of the One Nation executive - but who just a few months later are talking to a dissident group and then resign on the premise that it is because of the draft constitution.....
On February 28th One Nation members will decide the future of the party. Those who have resigned have effectively cut themselves out of the debate, and out of the fight to give Australia back to Australians.
After the late February AGM we, as One Nation, will be able to refocus on the issues that we need to challenge in this country. This after the membership decide the party's future direction - not a few self-seeking members or dissidents who have tried to hi-jack the party for their own agenda.
In the book "Murder by Media" I talk about the channel through which Packer and Murdoch
Here is an extract from the article:
There's not much mystery about what Richardson is up to. As usual, he's greatly enjoying the opportunity to further his reputation as someone who is a master at wielding power. In this case, he loves being seen as a central player in deciding who gets to participate in the continuing massive spending and (rapidly fading) prestige associated with the Sydney Olympics.
Few saw anything unusual in the early 1990s about his move from federal politics, where he had been Media Minister, to a highly paid job with media baron Kerry Packer. Although Premier Bob Carr is privately critical of Richardson, he promptly appointed him to the board of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG) after Packer resigned.
Carr had every reason to be wary of Graham Richardson. Richardson's close ally, Michael Knight, was not only Olympics Minister but extremely keen to replace Carr as Premier.
The Brisbane River below my home has been in flood, some 7 metres above its normal height, since Tuesday last week. The flood waters have remained at a constant height - not because of rainfall but because Wivenhoe Dam upstream has been releasing tons of water every second since Tuesday. In fact more water is flowing past my home than flows through the gap at Sydney.
Pictures taken 14th February - Wivenhoe dam and the river in flood below my home.
In reply to Truth
Dear "Truth",
I am also a Christian, an Independent Baptist, but I thought your remarks about the party were wrong and misguided. At a recent meeting of the Nowra Branch, the disputed portion of the constitution was read out, and there was not one person in the branch who had any problem with the wise safeguards placed in it. It is Pauline Hanson, David Etteridge, and David Oldfield who are responsible for the forming of this party and what it stands for. They deserve the right to see that it at least gets off to a good start in the direction it was meant to go in.
To say that One Nation is losing support over it, has only to do with snakes like you who spread mistrust and lies throughout the party itself. I and all One Nation supporters I know support the party as is and what it stands for, and deeply resent people like you who try to tear us down from within.
About being open to the people? Are you really that thick? So you think Labor, Liberal, Nationals, or any one is even half as open and honest about what they do???? What about the MLA?? What about them signing our children over to the UN without even their own people knowing! Give it a break. The "undemocratic" safeguards are put in place to keep people like you from destroying this party which already stands for what we believe.
Any God fearing man will understand that One Nation is a party which has stood for godly principles and godly policies, and for Truth, Justice, and Equity. Truth by exposing the lies of the parties, justice by policies on crime that will change current injustice, and equity by demanding that all Australians be treated equally, not according to race, etc.
I welcome any further correspondence. I am also sending this to head office so they will know what is being spread about them. No, I do not agree with EVERYTHING about One Nation, but for pity sake, I never will agree totally with anyone. One Nation has had the desency to be honest and they have nothing to hide, and I will give them my full support.
Sincerely,
J. Harris
Organiser responds
ref: Another Night - Another failed attempt on the life of One Nation
As one of the organisers of the meeting refered to in this meeting I take umbrage at the apparent depiction that this meeting was designed to be harmful to One Nation or as a staged event to further the agenda(s) of any particular individual(s).
This meeting was organised and Pauline Hanson invited before Christmas, well before any of the current troubles surfaced.
The events of recent days led to the decision by several committee members of the branch to present their resignations to Pauline at the meeting, however it was to be done in private and without fanfare.
This was a public meeting and we were determined to allow all viewpoints to be put. The fact that individuals present had views not in accordance with those of the author is not grounds to condemn the event as being designed to bring about the demise of One Nation.
I feel it is a great shame that the members of the Waterford Branch have been besmirched for seeking a fair and honest interchange of ideas. Such actions do nothing to further the cause of One Nation and further reinforce the views held by some regarding the democratic processes applied within the party.

Candour
In case anybody missed it, the Australian's Paul Kelly made a candid admission about the media (6-7/2/99). Commenting on the reasons for pessimism and hostility in the nation he included the following one: 'the myopia of the media who who spent much of the past two years falsely declaring a "race-based" 1998 federal election".
Nice to admit it after the event, Paul.

Dymock's
Australia
Mr. Clark:
As a U.S. soldier in 1969, I served in Vietnam, along with sons of Australia. Our blood nourished the sand and soil of that land. I was able to visit your country during a Rest & Recuperation visit. I enjoyed your countryside, the warm company of your people, and - with equal, cultured civility - your domestic beer. I thought of Australia as quite similar to my own country, a free western civilized nation of intelligent, industrious, fun-loving folk, but with much more interesting linguistics.
I now have grave concern for the freedom and well-being of the wonderful people of Australia, who were so much like brothers and sisters during my brief respite from war.
But first...
I left the military in 1996, in a condition which some have come to know
and love - or hate - as brutally honest. That's the wonderous thing about
truth; either one is quite taken by the effect - or those who hate the truth
cringe, whine, snivel, cower, and react with invectives ordinarily used by
the most uncivil, socially retarded sot.
Having said that...
"Murder by Media; Death of Democracy in Australia" by one Scott Balson, was released in Australia. I understand that the Dymocks bookstores enjoyed brisk sales for 3 weeks, which certainly resulted in considerably handsome profits. Until this past Tuesday. Why?
What happened on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, which would cause your Chairman, John Forsyth, to personally order the Dymocks stores to withdraw a popular, profitable book from their bookshelves?
Do you or your Chairman have the moral courage to answer that question?
There could be but 3 motivations, as I see it.
As a Citizen of the United States of America - at least for now enjoying Freedom of Speech, Press, and Peacable Assembly - I find it particularly reprehensible that Dymocks - expected to be interested in those same Freedoms - would willingly contribute to the Death of Freedom of Speech and Press in Australia. With your move to expunge a particular book for other than financial reasons, it becomes monumentally clear that Dymocks is perfectly willing to make a deplorable and frightening, Orwellian condition a Matter of Fact. Lenin and Stalin - under whose regimes and personal orders, 90,000,000 humans were murdered - would be quite proud of Dymocks' Chairman, John Forsyth.
In closing, should it really be true that Dymocks is acting as censor, to hell with you, and the banker's/media's horse you rode in on. I'll gladly buy the book directly from the author.

The Constitution
Scott,
"The British Colony of the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act 1900 (UK)" which you call our Constitution was not drafted or agreed to by Australian people, they were all british people and as only a mere 7% of the population were able to voted on the issue, it was not democratic and as we have been a republic for over 78 years now and that the constitution has been invalid for the same time. your wrong in that the people can change the constitution only british parliment can change it as it is section 9 of a britih act of parliment.
