One Nation candidate selected for Queensland state election.
Dorothy Pratt, an office manager and company director in Kingaroy, was selected last night in a secret ballot by delegates drawn from five One Nation branches. Ms Pratt will represent One Nation in the Queensland State seat of Barambah.
The two other contenders were 25 year old pig farmer Hilton Plant and 41 year old panel beater Peter Hayden who founded the first Kingaroy One Nation branch.
MAI? Tell me why?
Food for thought:
As Paul Hellyer's Evil Empire points out, chartered Canadian banks can now receive the equivalent of 'newly printed' money for each successful loan they make. This opens the question of whether under the new international financial agreement that Canada just signed, whether a foreign transnational can buy out a Canadian chartered bank, and have the same right? Foreign companies could then manipulate Canada's money supply for their own end, multiply money by giving it to their friends. Where can one get a copy of this new agreement?
Soros and real money starts destroying Korea's sovereignty.
Can you believe the distortion of this article in the Washington Post to make the "sinner" look like a "saint". Soros is the man that Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamed blamed for the Asian currency crisis.
U.S. Financier Soros May Add to Holdings - New Government Bonds Attract Attention
In another positive sign for this nation's battered economy, American financier George Soros told President-elect Kim Dae Jung today that he is interested in increasing his investments in South Korea.
The move was welcome news for South Korea, which is trying to woo back foreign investors as it rebuilds its financial system with the help of a $57 billion bailout from the International Monetary Fund.
Despite the sizable bailout and other signs of international support for South Korea, many foreign investors remain reluctant to renew loans to the country. South Korean officials hope that Soros's visit will encourage other investors to put money back in South Korea.
"Mr. Soros said he would like to help South Korea as far as he can," Chung Dong-young, chief spokesman for Kim, said after the two-hour dinner meeting at the president-elect's home near Seoul.
Soros, who reportedly withdrew most of his investment from South Korea at the height of the nation's financial turmoil late last year, came to Seoul on Saturday to meet with Kim.
The two reportedly got along well during a video conference arranged by Kim a few days before the South Korean opposition leader was elected president Dec. 18. Although Kim does not take office until Feb. 25, he already has immersed himself in efforts to save the battered economy.
During today's meeting, Soros proposed that South Korea set up a new investment company to handle bonds underwritten by the government, Chung said. Soros said he would be interested in buying such bonds. Soros also promised to send an investment research team after he returns to New York on Monday to advise the Seoul government on ways to solve its economic crisis.
Soros also told Kim that South Korea must "faithfully and swiftly" abide by conditions set by the IMF for its record $57 billion bailout, other aides said.
Those conditions include reforms to make layoffs easier so that foreigners can take over Korean banks and corporations. Layoffs are virtually impossible without the consent of labor unions.
South Korea so far has received $11 billion in emergency loans under the IMF bailout but its financial crisis will not end without loan rollovers from foreign banks and investors, analysts said.
The bottom line is Soros buys up company's facing bankruptcy, because of his (Soros) manipulation of the Korean currency, for a song; labour costs in Korea are dramatically reduced because of the conditions imposed by the new IMF shadow-government running the country (Soros' moneypower partner).
Bottom line? The Koreans are poorer, Soros is much, much wealthier. Yes
greed is good, so it would appear.
Skase about to do another runner?
Talking about greed.
The bankruptcy team responsible for tracking down about Au$50 million in
assets salted away by failed businessman Christopher Skase are fuming after
yesterday's leak that they had tracked his assets down. Justice Minister
Senator Amanda Vanstone has said that she will try to find out who in her
department is responsible for telling the press.
The bankruptcy trustee, Max Donnelly, believes Skase controls a number of
companies in London, the Cayman Islands and Spain - companies which are in
the names of members of his family. It is now likely that Skase will simply
move the assets before they can be frozen in the courts.
Through Donnelly's work Skase has been identified as the real owner of the
luxury Au$6 million mansion that he lives in on the island of Majorca in
Spain. Skase has previously claimed that he was "renting" the property -
for which he apparently pay no rent.
Skase also apparently owns three other properties on Majorca and is negotiating
to buy a casino in the Caribbean.
Sir Joh keeps his cards close to his
chest.
The ex-premier of Queensland, Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen, left hospital yesterday
vowing to stay out of politics after he was asked whether he would be an
active campaigner for Pauline Hanson's One Nation party.
Sir Joh and his wife Lady Flo had to run the media gauntlet (the "chooks"
as Joh so aptly calls them).
"I'm not involved (in politics) but I tell you this, I'm standing on the
sideline watching and wondering where it is all going to end.
"And I'll tell you this, there are some very big, big, big issues further
down the road, in Australia, this nation, that are going to rock the nation
- they way we are going and the way they're (the major political parties)
giving away this and that right, left and centre....
Wake Up Australia
Its time we all united now, Its time we took a
stand,
Controlled by a force's behind the scene's, hiding
from our view,
If we let them carry on, if we dont raise our
voice,
The future of Australia now, is firmly in your
hand,

Does Kerry Packer have a son named Chris?
I met a guy named Chris in June of '95 while I was
travelling in Europe. He told me his father
was Kerry Packer who at the time I had no idea who he was talking about.
I would appreciate if you could send me the answer
to my question.
Thank you.

Making the
news" -
an indepth exposé of media and political collusion at the highest
possible levels in Australia.
You say:
To show the bastards what we think, retake control of this, our land,
For too long we let them have their run, to lie and cheat while they're to
serve,
Like pigs at trough in public purse, my God they have a nerve.
Honest politicians now, in Australia they are few,
Our ancestors gave their sweat and blood, to make Australia strong and
free,
But these bastards sold Australia off, all that belongs to you and me.
There will be nothing left to call our own, no more to have a choice,
Just like slaves we will be, at beck and call of multinational might,
Lose all we have and hold so dear, if we don't stand and fight.
Chuck out the cheating scheming politicians, who are carving up our
land,
For if they get control again for just even one more term,
You can bid this country's wealth goodbye, stand up, take note and
learn.

The Australian dollar continues its free fall - now trading at less than 64 US cents.
