Australia's most popular performer, John Farnham, will star in a free live concert for Grandstand and season Precinct Pass holders at the IndyCarnival.
Farnham has agreed to return briefly from an extended holiday to perform exclusively with his band for IndyCarnival spectators.
IndyCar Australia Chief Executive Glen Jones said the return of a free concert - the last was Crowded House in 1992 - guaranteed outstanding value for money to people who purchased four-day Precinct or Grandstand passes to the March 16-19 event.
"The season Precinct Pass for the IndyCar Australia 1995 event will cost the same as it did in 1994 - Au$99 for four days - so entry to the John Farnham concert will effectively cost them nothing at all," Mr Jones said.
IndyCarnival is all about having a great time. Throughout the week, we're going to have street entertainment in Surfers Paradise, a rodeo, the ball at Conrad Jupiters and a whole host of other happenings."
"John Farnham's concert on Saturday night and then the IndyCar race on Sunday will be the climax of a fabulous few days."
