Born in Paris and moved to Sao Paulo with his family at age 9 months. Has a sister Marcia and a brother Marcos. Met his wife Angela when she was working for Paul Stewart Racing Team. His wife's family publishing company produces Motoring News a leading motor sports journal. Daughter Anna Elizabeth was born January 6th 1995. Gil is an avid movie- goer. Favourite actors include Robert de Niro, Al Pacino, Bridget Fonda and Winona Rider. Musical taste ranges from classical to rock. He is a student of world affairs with his television favourites being news and documentaries.
