CLIMBING THE NET: Ipswich Mayor John Nugent, Interactive Presentations managing director Scott Balson and councillor Paul Pisasale.

An Ipswich business yesterday launched a world-beating product designed to simplify access to the information superhighway.
Interactive Presentations yesterday announced it would franchise its system , which has been available in Ipswich for nearly 12 months, on the international market.

The venture called Global On-line Business Enterprises (GLOBE), has focussed solely on the Australian Internet - but will now go global.
Ipswich Economic Develoipment Committee Chairman, Cr Paul Pisasale, said that GLOBE would prove to be an excellent guide to the Internet.
"Council is delighted to see private companies in our region grow in confidence and expertise", he said.
Cr Pisasale said the new guide grouped information into headings such as community, business, corporate, events and master webs.
"For the international guide, a map of the world comes up, users click on a country and see instantly what information is available in that country. Each heading then breaks down with summaries and ratings."
He said it was a step forward to making the Internet user friendly.
